Billing Manager


Community Care Network is seeking a Billing Manager to join our team!

About the Role:

The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s billing processes and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Third-Party Payer regulations. This role manages daily billing operations, supervises billing staff, and collaborates with Program Directors and the accounting team to ensure accurate billing imports to the Agency’s accounting system. The Billing Manager is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency, minimize errors, and ensure the organization’s revenue cycle functions smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance billing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, documentation, coding rules, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and address billing discrepancies, denials, and inefficiencies, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop and enforce billing policies and procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze billing trends, reimbursement rates, and claim denials, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Leadership regarding the financial status of billing operations.
  • Assist in audits and financial reviews related to billing activities.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor billing clerks, providing guidance and support in daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in billing management, including Private Insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience, with proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of billing compliance, coding regulations, and revenue cycle management.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with billing software and financial reporting systems preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
