Rutland County Head Start is seeking a Classroom Team Supervisor for its Rutland Center. This critical position on the education team will support early childhood and future infant / toddler classrooms as a trainer, mentor, coach, and supervisor. This position will work as part of the education management team ensuring high quality teaching practices, positive teacher/ child interactions, behavior and IEP plan implementation, and support for teams in problem solving and collaborating.

BA preferred. Experienced ECE teachers or coaches are ideal candidates for this position. This position will receive extensive training in Creative curriculum, Second Step, Special Education, Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework, and Positive Behavior Support. Candidate should have a positive presence with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and positive teacher/ child relationships. Must be comfortable giving feedback to teachers in calm, positive manner. Must also be comfortable modeling teaching strategies. This role will work directly with teachers and assistance and must be able to promote reflective practice, individualizing curriculum, and joyful classroom environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Early Childhood or related field is preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience in a child development/child care center program required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience in a child development/child care center that would demonstrate the ability to perform described duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Certifications in CPR/ First Aid.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
