Supervisor of Intensive Supports


Community Care Network is looking for a Supervisor of Intensive Supports to join our team!

About the Role:

The Supervisor of Intensive Supports assists with supervision and ongoing support for staff on the intensive supports team. The Intensive Support Supervisor works closely with the Manager to develop, implement programming and services that are supportive, educational, and promote wellness and independence. The supervisor assists with the hiring process of new staff, training, staff supervisions, evaluations, performance issues and on call rotation. A supervisor provides in person support and oversight of services implemented by Direct Support Professionals.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all evaluations for staff supervised are completed in a timely manner and ensure that all staff attend and are compliant in all mandatory trainings.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and regular supervision to all staff on a consistent basis.
  • Provides training to Direct Support Professionals in implementing programs that enhance independent living.
  • Maintains flexibility in being able to work with different individuals as needed due to potential staff shortages, emergencies, etc. and develop staff schedules and assure that all individuals have appropriate coverages.
  • With Manager, conducts interviews, hires, and coordinates new hire training as needed.
  • Provides a positive team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in developmental services required.
  • Previous leadership or management experience required.
  • Strong leadership skills (i.e. accountability, follow through, coaching techniques, constructive feedback, multitasking…etc.).
  • Flexibility, dependability, and ability to work independently and ability to respond in emergency situations appropriately.
  • Commitment to person centered services, community inclusion and individual choice.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
