Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland
Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities,
individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human
services.
About the Role:
The
Dietician is responsible for providing sound advice to staff to promote healthy
eating habits and to evaluate dietary treatments of diseases of residents in
the program.
Principal
Responsibilities:
- Assesses
nutritional needs, dietary restrictions and current health plans to develop and
implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Consults with
physicians and health care staff to determine nutritional needs of individual.
- Advises client,
their families and residential staff on nutritional principles, dietary plans
and diet modifications.
- Monitors food
preparation to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and
quality standards.
- Coordinates recipe
development and standardization and develops new menus for staff to use in meal
preparation.
Qualifications and
Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree from
an accredited program
- Ability to work
with others in a positive, responsible manner.
- Writing and
organizational skills to convey or receive detailed or important information or
instructions through oral and written communication.
- Ability to
maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility,
dependability and ability to work independently.
- Must have a valid
driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability
insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
- *Successful
completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
