Community Care Network is looking for a Dietician to join our team.

Community Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities, individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human services.

About the Role:

The Dietician is responsible for providing sound advice to staff to promote healthy eating habits and to evaluate dietary treatments of diseases of residents in the program.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assesses nutritional needs, dietary restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
  • Consults with physicians and health care staff to determine nutritional needs of individual.
  • Advises client, their families and residential staff on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications.
  • Monitors food preparation to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
  • Coordinates recipe development and standardization and develops new menus for staff to use in meal preparation.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program
  • Ability to work with others in a positive, responsible manner.
  • Writing and organizational skills to convey or receive detailed or important information or instructions through oral and written communication.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Flexibility, dependability and ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
