Network is looking for an Information Technology Generalist to join our team.

About the Role:
The
IT Generalist is responsible for implementing and managing integrated hardware
and software technologies solutions for a not-for-profit,
community behavioral health and developmental disabilities agency in Rutland,
Vermont. This position performs administrative and technical procedures on
information technologies. The IT Generalist maintains documentation that covers
the following functional areas (systems design, technology administration,
network and software support). Duties include troubleshooting/diagnosing
computer hardware & software issues and assisting with IT-related problems.
Principal
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical
support for both hardware and software issues including VOIP
- Setup and
configure PCs, printers and phones for deployment
- Setup new users as
well as remove termed staff
- Configure and
maintain server hardware, network, backups systems and associated services
- Implement security
policies and protocols of the department
- Maintain
familiarity with installed software standards and procedures and provide
technical guidance and training to staff
- Maintain user
account administration, file rights management and backup/recovery policies and
procedures
- Document support
requests and resolutions in ticketing system
- Create and
maintain documentation for department procedures and policies
- Assist department
staff as needed.
Qualifications and
Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2
years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience where the necessary competencies are achieved.
- Knowledge of Azure
Active Directory, Office 365, Sharepoint, and basic networking is preferred.
- Strong
organizational skills and is detail oriented
- Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and outside
providers; including strong conflict-resolution skills, excellent communication
skills (both oral and written), and strong customer service skills
- Perform
effectively in an environment with frequent changes and competing demands.
- Must have a valid
driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability
insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
- *Successful
completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
