About The Role:

The Intensive Specialist Direct Support Professional will work closely with the client and the team to provide intensive specialized instructional and behavioral treatment and support services to an 18-year-old young woman with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities in order to promote healthy and adaptive social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Responsibilities include providing a professional and individualized support system that helps to supervise, direct, inform, and assess current and prospective needs of client. The main focus is on behavioral management and building independent living skills in an apartment setting. This role requires an enthusiastic, passionate and driven individual to provide coordinated, quality services and carry forth the CCN mission.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School diploma/Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Human Services).
  • Experience working with people with special needs who have exhibited challenging behaviors.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel.
  • General knowledge of community resources, and/or experience working in a variety of human services settings.
  • Strong communication skills.
