Intensive Supports Supervisor

Community Care Network is seeking an Intensive Supports Supervisor in Rutland, Vermont.

About the Role:

The Supervisor of Intensive Supports assists with supervision and ongoing support for staff on the intensive supports team. The Intensive Support Supervisor works closely with the Manager to develop, implement programming and services that are supportive, educational, and promote wellness and independence.  The supervisor assists with the hiring process of new staff, training, staff supervisions, evaluations, performance issues and on call rotation. A supervisor provides in person support and oversight of services implemented by Direct Support Professionals. 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • With Manager, conducts interviews, hires, and coordinate new hire trainings as needed.
  • Provides training to DSP in implementing programs that enhance independent living.
  • Develops staff schedules and assures that all individuals have appropriate coverage.
  • Works flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the individuals served. 
  • Assures that the interests and preferences of the individuals are followed by staff, according to the ISA.
  • Monitors and checks EMR notes for compliance with agency standards.
  • Monitors a working knowledge of the individuals supported.
  • Informs appropriate parties of staff changes and/or schedule changes.
  • Maintains and assigns individual reimbursements for cancelled services. 
  • Provides appropriate follow up on event reports and Critical Incident Reports with staff and Program Manager.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in developmental disabilities required.
  • Previous leadership or management experience required.
  • Strong leadership skills (i.e. accountability, follow through, coaching techniques, constructive feedback, multitasking…etc.).
  • Proficiency with computers, experience entering data into electronic medical records (EMR) program.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills in order to receive and convey information in efficient and effective manner. 
  • Able to flex schedule as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
