About
the Role:
Community Care Network partners with students to
provide internship hours and field instruction necessary to complete their
degree. Internships vary depending on a student's level of education and
specialty. The intern will work under close supervision of the Transition
Coordinator overseeing the Youth Transition Grant and the Manager of Employment
Supports. The Youth Transition Grant Intern will receive ongoing guidance and
support from their off-site educator who supervises their field placement.
Eighty to ninety percent of the YT Grant Intern's paid time will be with YT
Grant participants, their families, and schools.
Responsibilities:
- Attend
Orientation prior to starting the internship.
- Complete
all assigned documentation, attendance reports, service plans and evaluations
as assigned by the supervisor.
- Provide
accurate and timely information to the supervisor on all topics.
- Attend
supervision, staff, and team meetings as assigned by a supervisor.
- Maintain
a professional demeanor with families, individuals, colleagues, and external
vendors (i.e. schools) consistent with agency ethics and code of conduct
guidelines.
- Participate
in face to face YT Grant related skill building, training and planning with
students, families, colleagues, and schools.
- Perform
other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently
enrolled in undergraduate degree program
- Committed
to learning in a team environment
- Flexible
and adaptable to a wide range of tasks
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong
time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Strong
interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- The
ability to work independently or on a team as necessary
- Must
have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile
liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of
Vermont.
- *Successful
completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
