Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Clinician

Community Care Network is seeking an Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Clinician in Rutland, Vermont.

This is an exciting opportunity for a SUD professional to guide the development of treatment programming options for teens residing in Rutland County. The ideal applicant offers flexible and creative approaches through program offerings designed to engage the teen population!

About the Role:

SUD Clinicians are part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and facilitate a range of outpatient treatment programs and services for those experiencing substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues. This licensed professional with advanced skills will serve teens and their families, providing clinical assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, and service coordination and consultation in programs as regulated by the State of Vermont: Department of Health - Division of Substance Use Programs and in accordance with accepted professional and ethical standards.

The Clinician works closely and successfully with other community partners while serving adolescents and families to provide quality, coordinated services. The Clinician works comfortably within a reflective practice model and has a commitment to evidence-based treatment models. This position serves as a lead for other team members related to adolescent services. Working collaboratively with agency leadership to establish treatment programming options is a priority.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide SUD assessments, treatment, and consultation, in addition to community education as needed.
  • Facilitate access and referral in a manner that supports, respects, and protects adolescents, while also supporting their families/guardians.
  • Work from a person-centered perspective where a central philosophy is giving the client power and choice in treatment planning.
  • Work with agency leadership and other internal providers to develop and maintain adolescent-specific practices and programming.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Master's Degree in relevant discipline
  • Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) in Vermont preferred.
  • Listed on Vermont Roster of Non-licensed & Non-registered Psychotherapists**
  • Prior experience working in the field of substance use disorders providing both individual and group therapy
  • Knowledge of current substance use treatment methods
  • Demonstrated ability to defuse challenging situations and work in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with computers; experience entering data into electronic medical records program
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
