New Posting Engagement Specialist

The Engagement Specialist plays a critical role in improving client participation in Behavioral Health services by conducting outreach, reducing barriers to care, and ensuring timely follow-ups. This position supports clients through engagement strategies, coordination of services, and collaboration with providers, families, and community partners. They are responsible for re-engaging clients and families who struggle to attend appointments or meetings, such as therapy sessions, case management visits, or treatment team meetings. The Engagement Specialist may also participate in staff meetings, hospital visits, and community events to support clients and educate others about Rutland Mental Health Services.

The Manager of Intensive Supports is responsible for overseeing and coordinating services for individuals with developmental disabilities who require intensive, 24/7 care and/or have complex needs. This role focuses on providing leadership, planning, and supervision of support services for individuals, including those receiving supervised living, staffed living, and in-home support, including those under ACT 248. The Manager of Intensive Supports ensures individuals receive the highest quality care in the least restrictive environment, working collaboratively with internal and external teams to meet their unique needs.


The Director of Quality Assurance & Compliance is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that the Agency operates in full compliance with operational policies, provider agreements, grant agreements, and all applicable laws and regulations. This position serves as an internal consultant, guiding the organization to minimize risks and adhere to standards. The role involves auditing, analyzing, and evaluating Agency practices, recommending corrective actions for irregularities, and helping staff avoid unnecessary risks.

The Director will oversee risk management, corporate compliance, and privacy policies and programs, as well as ensure the Agency’s adherence to safety regulations. The Director will also act as the lead for complaints, grievances, and appeals, and support Agency responses to legal inquiries or regulatory investigations.

The Residential Recovery Specialist will provide support to individuals living with chronic mental illness and/or substance use disorders in a recovery-based trauma sensitive residential facility. The RSS will support therapeutic programming, share meals with the clients, facilitate medication compliance, all while building strong, meaningful connections!

The Therapeutic Case Manager provides oversight and case management services to children and families who suffer from emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges in order to facilitate safety, stability, and well-being. Provided services consist of therapeutic interventions that facilitate illness self-management, skill building, identification and the use of natural supports, and use of community resources. Services will be provided at the agency, home and community-based when necessary.


The School Based Clinician is responsible for the provision of diagnosis and evaluation, psychotherapy, community supports, service planning, and coordination to all children who are needing additional mental health supports. Those services can include crisis interventions, trauma informed supports and resources, which are embedded directly into the child's school and therefore more easily accessed.


The Level 2 Direct Support Professional is an entry level position for which all training is provided. This position provides direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities so they can maintain employment. The DSP II works with individuals on identified goals emphasizing individuals’ strengths, abilities, and interests.


The Community Outreach Specialist provides support services to consumers residing in an independent housing program and in the community. The support services include coordinating client case management, planning and carrying out goals of individual’s treatment plan/ISA, goal setting, training independent living skills, and supporting individuals’ overall mental health stability and general wellbeing. The Community Outreach Specialist will provide transportation of day-to-day appointments as needed. This support service assists individuals to reside independently in the community through skill development and education. This position allows for interfacing with a variety of individuals with differing needs and approaches.


Opportunities are currently available for Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with development disabilities in the community and in their homes throughout Rutland County. This position assists individuals in a variety of day-to-day tasks, such as but not limited to: behavioral needs, transportation, medical management, and more. This position will assist in planning and carrying out individuals' programs as well as implementing goals identified by the Individualized Service Agreement (ISA). The Child Outpatient Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to meet the customer service, quality and overall goals of Rutland Mental Health Services. Meet the program’s uniquely-defined internal/external compliance standards and performance measures. Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal/external professional staff to provide quality coordinated services. Provide direct service to clients and families. Services shall include, but are not limited to clinical assessment, treatment planning, service planning and coordination, community supports and individual, family and group psychotherapy sessions. Provide appropriate professional development leadership and training to clinical and other agency staff as defined by Child and Family Outpatient Program Manager.


The Law Enforcement Liaison Clinician will work with core emergency services team and law enforcement to identify clients in need of services and to take a more proactive approach in meeting program demands. The overall goals are to reduce unnecessary Emergency Department utilization, assist in diverting inpatient psychiatric admissions by providing counseling and therapeutic support to clients in crisis, with the emphasis on reducing unnecessary interactions with law enforcement to decrease incarceration rates and over utilization of other Emergency personnel. This position is responsible for providing mental health crisis assessment, intervention and brief treatment services to a diverse population of clients in crisis. In addition, the crisis clinician will provide appropriate recommendations for care and linkage services for clients requiring on-going treatment.


The Intensive Direct Support Professional (IDSP) is responsible for providing the appropriate support and guidance as identified in the Individual Support Agreement (ISA) for dual diagnosis individuals identified for high need supports. The IDSP provides support within the individual’s home environment; prompting, supporting, and encouraging completion of Activities of Daily Living, getting to and from appointments, engagement in social activities, and developing/maintaining independent living skills (i.e. grocery shopping). This position also provides opportunity for preferred community engagement. The IDSP is vigilant in providing quality intensive specialized instruction, behavioral intervention, and support services to promote emotional and behavioral health. The IDSP attends team meetings, completes required documentation and contributes to the development of Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Agreements.

Community Care Network partners with students to provide internship hours and field instruction necessary to complete their degree. Internships vary depending on a student's level of education and specialty. The intern will work under close supervision of on-site professional in the agency. Intern will receive ongoing guidance and support from off-site educator who supervisors their field placement.


This is a per diem position (2-16 hours per week depending on case load) with a lot of flexibility! Respite Providers provide relief from care-giving responsibilities for families by engaging the child in fun recreational activities that support the interest and abilities of the child. Respite services typically occur after school hours including evenings and weekends. In general, services should be provided in a way that most families can replicate regardless of socioeconomic background.


North End Ranch is a residential home for individuals with developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals assists individuals in a variety of day-to-day tasks, such as but not limited to: transportation, medical management, dietary needs, personal care and more. This position will assist in planning and carrying out individual programs as well as implementing goals identified by the Individualized Service Agreement (ISA).
