Education Coordinator

The position supports Education (school-readiness) programming for Rutland Community Programs (RCP) Early Care and Education Programs, such as Rutland County Head Start (RCHS), Public PreK (Act 166), PreK Development Expansion, and Child Care. The Education Coordinator supervises classroom staff, promoting and supporting the overall planning and implementation of curriculum, child outcomes assessment systems, training and professional development initiatives and classroom operation, incorporating best practices and promoting ongoing quality improvement in the delivery of services.

This position will focus on supporting the implementation of the Education & Child Development Program Plan and the Disabilities Services Program Plan as well as providing supervision and practice-based coaching to assigned education staff.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent degree.
  • Working knowledge of early education curriculum development and assessment systems (child outcomes).  
  • Ability to use data to inform lesson planning and ongoing quality improvement of program services and delivery.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong ability to build highly effective teams. 
  • Demonstrated skills managing projects.
