About the Role:
The position is
responsible for providing in-home, family-based clinical and support services
to families of domestic violence, substance abuse, abused and/or neglected
children, and/or families with severely emotionally disturbed children. The
IFBS Clinician will provide family-focused services to the parents of children
involved with Department of Children and Families (DCF) or other identified
families. The overall goal of services is to strengthen parenting skills,
emotional responsiveness, and improve communication within the family. All services provided will follow the
guidelines defined in the DCF Grant. The
clinician will develop and maintain close working relationships with internal
and external professional staff to provide coordinated, quality services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly in-home
parenting support, clinical interventions, and psychoeducation to client's
family
- Address risk factors as identified by DCF or
from clinical assessment in an effort to assist family with reunification or to
prevent further DCF involvement
- Participate and attend all related school and
provider meetings on behalf of the child and/or family
- Extensive collaboration across community
agencies and other RMH providers
- Comply with internal and DCF documentation
requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's level social
work, mental health, psychology, or human services degree
- Master's level
Clinicians must be Rostered in the State of Vermont within 60 days of
employment. In addition to this, Rostered Clinicians must obtain Licensure in
their profession within 5 years of obtaining their Master's degree.
- Experience in
psychological treatment of adults, children, and families
- Experience or knowledge
in family systems therapy approaches and complex/generational trauma
- Excellent communication
skills both written and oral
- Must have a valid
driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability
insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.

of a criminal history background check after hire.
